The ERP webet our own businesson.

QuickThink ERP is a modern, multi-tenant cloud ERP for the UK public sector. We run our entire company on it. So does our launch design partner.

Finance, procurement, HR and payroll in a single modern platform — built and maintained by the team that's been running other people's ERPs for two decades.

Cohort 1 design partners work directly with the team building the product — shaping finance workflows, procurement controls and the public-sector reporting model before general availability.

Why we built it
We've been hosting other people's ERPs for two decades. So we built the one we wished we could buy.

QuickThink Cloud has run Unit4, SITS, council platforms and SQL Server workloads for UK public sector, education and charity customers for almost twenty years. We've watched, up close, every kind of pain you can have with a legacy ERP.

In 2024 we started writing what we wished we could buy: a modern, multi-tenant cloud ERP designed around how UK public sector finance teams work — and built on a stack a 2026 engineer would choose if starting from scratch.

We migrated our own company onto it first. We wouldn't ask a customer to do something we hadn't done ourselves. RC1 is the result of that work, and the first cohort of design partners is now open.

What it does

A Complete ERP, Out of the Box

Twelve modules, all shipping in RC1. The ones we run our own business on today are tagged Live in QTC.

Finance & General Ledger

8-segment CIPFA chart of accounts, recurring and auto-reversing journals, month-end wizard, per-module period close.

Accounts Payable

2-way and 3-way matching with tolerances, P-card auto-coding (Barclaycard/RBS presets), commitment accounting from PO approval, supplier bank cool-off.

Accounts Receivable

Direct debit mandates and collections, cash receipts with allocation, customer statements, write-offs, refunds.

Procurement

Requisitions with workflow, POs with commitments, goods receipts, contract management, Find a Tender F01–F03, punchout catalogues.

Inventory

Items, categories, warehouses and locations; weighted-average costing, FIFO-ready layers, GRN auto-receipt, reorder alerts.

Fixed Assets

Asset register, straight-line depreciation, disposal with gain/loss, revaluation, asset components, IFRS 16 lease accounting.

Budgeting & Encumbrances

Operating, capital, project, cash and statistical budgets; budget vs actual; encumbrances from POs; budget virement workflow.

HR, Leave & Timesheets

Org chart, accruals and balances, weekly timesheets with approval, UK public holidays, gender pay gap reporting, establishment control.

Payroll

UK PAYE/NI/student loan/pension, LGPS 50/50 section, TPS MCR export, apprenticeship levy, pay spines, salary sacrifice, BACS batches.

Projects, Grants & Expenses

WBS, team and budget; cost actuals from timesheets, expenses and AP; UK grants module with deferred income and claims.

Bank Reconciliation & Open Banking

Statement import (CSV/OFX/MT940), rules-based auto-match, manual reconciliation; live feeds via TrueLayer and Yapily.

Reporting, BI & Audit Console

Report catalogue with parameters and lookups, scheduled jobs, dashboards, audit console with correlation IDs and CSV export.

Five things you're unlikely to find in your current ERP

Audit Defensibility

AuditShield — cryptographic, tamper-evident audit log.

Every audit row is SHA-256 hash-chained to the one before it. Database triggers reject UPDATE and DELETE at the database itself — not in the application layer an attacker reaches first.

Finance Engine

Declarative GL posting — finance that always ties to the subledgers. Every posting rule lives in YAML. When a subledger event fires — PO approved, invoice matched, GRN received — the engine emits a balanced journal mapped by that rule.

Practical AI

AI invoice and contract capture — opt-in, security-tested. Upload a PDF and get back more than a header. We pull the line items — descriptions, quantities, unit prices — so the draft arrives already three-way matched to your PO and GRN.

Configurable Without Code

Workflow Designer with simulation. Draw your approval chain in the browser. Set conditions on amount, supplier, cost centre, custom fields — anything. Then simulate it before go-live with a test scenario.

Greenfield UK Payroll

UK public sector payroll depth, on day one. LGPS 50/50 section. TPS MCR export. Gender pay gap reporting. Apprenticeship levy. Pay spines and pay awards.

The platform

Built in 2026, not 2005. QuickThink ERP was built as modern cloud software from the very first line — with the security, control and integration a finance team expects today.

Security & Compliance

The Checklist Your RFP Asks For

Designed around what public sector and regulated buyers actually scrutinise. No vague reassurances — specific mechanisms with the receipts behind them.

Design Partner Programme · Cohort 1

10 founding organisations. Direct line to the team that builds it. We are deliberately constraining the first cohort.

Direct line to engineering

Slack channel, fortnightly review with the product team, your bugs and asks at the top of the queue.

Roadmap input

What we ship in the next four quarters is shaped by what design partners actually need.

Honest Roadmap

What's Done, What's Next, What We Won't Do. Most ERP vendors hide their roadmap behind an NDA. We don't — we think it's the right thing to do.

Common Questions

The Things People Actually Ask Us.

  • Are you trying to replace Unit4 hosting? Aren't you competing with yourselves?
  • What happens to our data if QuickThink Cloud pivots?
  • Where is the data hosted?
  • Can we migrate from Unit4?
  • How does QuickThink ERP integrate with our existing payroll, SITS or finance systems?
  • What does it cost?
  • How will you support us?
